Hello Blog Readers! Welcome to the this week’s edition of “Talk Tuesdays“! Today is the day that we post answers to questions that we’ve received either in our blog comments, from the shows we attend or emails. Come back every week and you’ll find the answers to those questions!
Q: I keep hearing about Art Acetates – what are they?
A: They are a wonderful and easy way to express your glittery self! An image in black is printed on a sheet of acetate (usually 4 of the same image per page) and you can color it with Crystal Lacquer on the dull side and embellish with glitter. Such a fabulous effect for ATC’s, cards and scrapbook pages! Many designs are available with new ones being added practically every day. Take a peek at some of the newest ones!
I love this Flower Silhouette stamp from Prickley Pear, it goes with so many themes. I layered it on top of a piece of P K Sticky Paper and added Orchid Glitter Glitz to bring more attention to the image.

We all love flowers on our cards. Sometimes we search our stash and just don’t have the perfect color…or maybe it’s just a little “blah”. Dress your flowers up with P K Glitz!
I took a plain paper flower and sprayed it with P K Glitz “Ritzy Ditzy” spray in Silver Pearl. Not a lot, just enough to give it a hint of color and sheen. Next, I cut a flower accent out of sticky paper, covered it with Glitter and attached it to my paper flower using a decorative brad.
This month’s challenge is to prove that you “CAN” be crafty with just about anything! See how our designer’s interpreted this month’s challenge then check out the prize and rules below.

For some reason ”titles” have become a huge part of scrapbook layouts. While I agree that titles can add a lot to your project, it can also be hindrance to your creativity. I know scrappers who agonize over picking the “perfect title” for their page, and sometimes it overpowers the process and takes away the fun. I’m a firm believer that the photo should always be the star of the page, and that everything else is just secondary. I think that the better the photo, the less “embellishment” you need to make it shine, and such is the case for this layout of my beautiful daughter, Audre.
