At shows we sell a bunch of the Quickie Glue pens because it is such a fabulous pen! With that thought in mind, I am sure that the majority of you reading this have a Quickie Glue pen, and if you don’t, then you *need* to get one
Psstt – we sell them in the P K Glitz store.
Title: A New Start
Supplies:
Glitter: Mint, Crystal, Light Yellow, Pink, Peach (P K Glitz)
Quickie Glue Pen (P K Glitz)
Cartoon kit: March 2010 (Dixie Pieces)
I loved the design on this paper from We R Memory Keepers and it helped to reinforce my photos. I decided to cut out around the tops of the houses and place some of my photos behind, but it still looked a little “flat”. This is where my Quickie Glue pen came in handy along with the new line of Crystals. I outlined the grass and the buildings with the glue pen and sprinkled coordinating glitter colors onto the areas that I had used the glue pen on. I love how just the touch of glitter made these buildings, trees, and grass really pop.
I used some Puffy Paint to outline my clouds and while the paint was still wet, I added some Crystal glitter which gave the clouds some sparkle. Can’t you just see the sun reflecting off of those puffy clouds? (You will want to make sure the paint is dry before adding glitter to any of the other areas of your layout.)

Now that the rest of my layout sparkled and shined, my title looked flat. What was I to do? I could start over and create the title from Sticky Paper and a coordinating glitter – maybe Sea Mist or something similar. Or, I could use my Quickie Glue pen and some Light Yellow to highlight the title. I chose the latter and what a statement my title made!

It didn’t take long, maybe 10 minutes to add the glitter to this page and it was well worth the extra time it took. Get out your Quickie Glue pen and start adding some P K Glitz glitter to make your projects sparkle and shine!

I read a tutorial by Gloria Stengel on the creation of pinwheels and had to try it. It is such a cute addition to a card or layout and so easy to create! I love how vibrant and cheerful this card came out and all that glitter just adds the perfect touch! I used the Sticky Paper and an EK Success punch to create the corner piece and one medium glue dot in the center of the button, adding Poppy Jasper Glitter Glitz to each. I also used three small glue dots and added Squash Blossom Glitter Glitz to those!

Trying to beat the winter blues I decided to create some really dazzling spring flowers using P K Glitz glitter, WonderFilm, Ritzy Ditzy Glitz, and a few other items!

I thought the flowers would be a beautiful accent to these tins that I purchased at the Dollar Spot in Target. I used attached the pattern paper to the tins using 1/2 inch Sticky Tape and then I put a strip of 3/8 inch Sticky Tape along the top edge and applied a coordinating glitter to the tape. For just a little more bling, I used my Quickie Glue pen and some glitter crystals to accent some of the patterns in the paper. For the final touch, I attached one of my Dazzling Flowers to a ribbon bow and attached it to the top of the tin using 1/2 inch Sticky Tape. Isn’t Sticky Tape so versatile? I just love it!

The pink and blue tins hold my distress inks
The orange tin holds my Colorbox Cat Eye inks
The green tin holds my templates and stencils

For those of you who are waiting on pins and needles to see the announcement of the new Design Team members for P K Glitz, we are going to have to ask you to wait just a little longer. The whole decision making process is taking a little longer than what was originally expected so please be patient.
In the meantime, we realized that our existing design team has never been formally introduced so I would like to start off by introducing myself.
I am Tammy and I am living with my wonderful husband and very quickly growing teenage son on a small farm in North East Texas. It seems that all of my life I have been involved in some sort of crafting. In 1995 I began scrapbooking – at my husband’s request. Now I have someone to blame for my addiction
In 2001 my art took on a whole new form when I discovered rubber stamps.
I met Jim and Janelle Marshall (owners of P K Glitz) at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas. Their booth was hopping with customers and they were needing help so they hired me at the recommendation of Andrea (who you will meet tomorrow). By the following year Janelle had decided to form a design team and asked me to join the team and as the saying goes “the rest is history!”
I have been published in several print and online magazines and have had opportunities to teach classes both online and in person. The best part of this industry is that I have been able to meet new friends and share my love of crafting with others.
How would you describe your style?
My style changes with my mood but for the most part my projects stay pretty clean with just a little shabby chic thrown in for good measure
I have never really known how to describe the way I create.
What are your favorite colors to work with?
I love anything from Easter colors to bright yellows, pinks, greens, blues, and corals.
What do you like to do when you are not in your studio creating?
I love walking along our creek and spending time with our animals. I usually have my camera with me and try to work on my outdoor photography skills.
Do you prefer to work on scrapbook projects or make cards?
My first love is scrapbook pages, but I also like creating dimensional projects using my stash. Cards are a great way to use up extra supplies when I am done creating.
What is your favorite – P K Glitz embossing powder or glitter glitz?
It would have to be the P K Glitz glitter – especially since I have almost all of the colors. I also really like the E P Max and E P Lite embossing glitters especially when working in my scrapbooks or altering an embellishment.
Here is a project that I recently created using embossing powder and embossing glitter with the Colorful Companions stamp set from myStampBOX – a P K Glitz Preferred Partner.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner but you still have time to make that special someone in your life a handmade card. I was recently at an Heirloom show in Grapevine, Texas and did a cute make ‘n take at the Paper Cut booth. Of course I thought it needed a little “glitz” so I brought it home and altered it a little.
I covered the heart with WonderFilm and added Crystal Glitter Glitz to give it a lot of sparkle. I then used my Quickie Glue pen and White Pearl Glitter Glitz to add random dots on the background. As a final touch I outline the circle at the top with my Quickie Glue pen and added Black Glitter Glitz. Now my card has the sparkle it really deserves!
My son recently visited the Ft. Worth Stockshow and he got to take a couple of friends with him. They really had a great time and I wanted to create a page that reflected the day.
Supplies:
Sticky Paper (P K Glitz)
Amethyst and Gold Ritzy Ditzy Glitz (P K Glitz)
Chinese Firecracker E P Max (P K Glitz)
Crystal Glitter Glitz (P K Glitz)
Cardstock (Prism)
Patterned Cardstock (Basic Grey)
Cardstock Stickers (Basic Grey)
Border Punch (Martha Stewart)
Mask (Tim Holtz)
Flower Die Cut (BGlad Papercrafts)
Embossing Ink (Ranger)
Self Adhesive Transparency (Grafix)
Have you tried our new Ritzy Ditzy Glitz? It now has color and is a fun way to add shimmer to your cardstock as well as texture. Before starting my layout, I placed a mask across the top third of my cardstock and spritzed with Ritzy Ditzy Glitz Gold and Amethyst then removed the mask to get this subtle design across the page. Next I punched a border from P K Glitz Sticky paper and embossed it using Chinese Firecracker E P Max.

To add a bit of sparkle to the title I pressed the letters into my embossing ink pad and added Chinese Firecracker E P Max before adhering to my layout.

For the flower, I die cut the bottom two layers from patterned cardstock then spritzed them with Gold Ritzy Ditzy Glitz. The third layer of the flower (white) was die cut from P K Glitz Sticky Paper and I added Crystal Glitter Glitz. The center of the flower is made using the Brad Technique. I used Chinese Firecracker E P Max for the center.
Where can you get all of these fabulous products? In our P K Glitz store of course! Just click on “Store” in the left hand column of the blog.
