A handmade card is just about the nicest thing that you can give to someone. It tells them that they’re special, and that you value them so much that you spent your time and creative efforts to make something just for them. Making a good card can be challenging, but with a little creativity and the right products you can make something that will leave your recipient wondering where you’ve been hiding that talent all these years!

You could take some paper, a flower and a stamp or two and create a pretty nice card…or, you could take it a step further by adding some sparkle and glitter and creating a card that says “WOW!”  Read more...

Last year in October (I believe it was) I saw this adorable shoe pattern at Skip To My Lou. I could just imagine Cinderella going to the ball in this beautiful slipper dressed up in glitter.

I asked Cindy, from Skip To My Lou, if it were possible for us to use her pattern and she graciously consented. Of course, her version was during Halloween, but we want to see how you can use this pattern for a beautiful party or wedding favor. I wanted to pull in the colors of the layout to my journaling block and what better way than to add coordinating glitter! I used P K Sticky Tape to add the vertical strips and P K Glitter Glitz to cover them up! Then added three mini glue dots and added more glitter! I love how the Glitter Glitz colors adapt to the colors on my projects – they just look like they were meant for each other!

This time of year is when you get invited to Bridal showers and weddings and it always makes me think of my own daughters wedding so I had to pull out some photos and scrap them. It’s what we Moms do!
