I just LOVE P K Glitz embossing powder! This is one of my favorite techniques using the E P Lite (previously named “Stardust”) Embossing Powder to add some sparkle to anything chipboard. Tired of waiting for your sparkle to dry after applying it? Not to worry with E P Lite – it just needs heat!
What is E P Lite Embossing Powder?
It is a translucent based embossing powder with a hint of sparkly Glitter Glitz color. It’s available in 72 colors!

Supplies Needed:
E P Lite
Embossing Ink Pad
Chipboard
Heat Tool
Tidy Tray
Step 1a:
Select a chipboard piece that you would like to add some Glitter Glitz to – it can be raw, painted, pre-printed or pre-colored. Ink the chipboard piece by pressing the top surface into the embossing ink pad. I chose a raw chipboard piece for this example.

Step 2a:
Place the piece into the Tidy Tray, ink side up. Sprinkle the E P Lite Embossing Powder color of your choice (there are 72 to pick from!) over the inked surface. It will have a white sparkly look to it. Remove the piece from the tray and place on a heat-resistant surface. Heat until the powder turns clear to emboss.
Step 3a:
Let cool for a couple of seconds before handling. Congratulations! You’ve now completed an E P Lite Embossing Powder Chipboard accent! Cool idea —-> why not paint the raw chipboard before adding the E P Lite? In fact, paint the piece and quickly add the embossing powder while the paint is still wet. No extra ink needed to make the E P Lite stick!

Step 1b:
Do you have a pre-printed chipboard embellishment that just needs a little more pizzazz? Using a glue pen or embossing ink pen, color the areas on the piece that you would like to add some sparkle. Add the E P Lite, heat and there you have it! Instant new embellishment with no drying time or glitter fly-away!

Step 1c:
Do you have pre-colored chipboard embellishments that you love, but are a little bored with? Cool idea —-> give your chipboard alphas some new life. Remove the letters from the main sheet and pull off the back liner if they’re self-adhesive pieces.
Step 2c:
Apply the letter to your finger and touch the front surface to the embossing ink pad.
Step 3c:
Lightly press the inked letter into a mound of E P Lite in your Tidy Tray. Remove and place the letter on a heat-resistant surface to heat emboss. This is a quick and easy way to change the look of your pre-colored embellishments!
